The Maverick Award

Honoring students & athletes who lead like a maverick on and off the field.

At Maverick Sports Apparel, “like a maverick” means standing out for all the right reasons—leading with kindness, courage, and boldness whether you’re on the field, in the classroom, or serving your community. Inspired by our own boys, Maddox and Maverick, this award recognizes young leaders who make a positive impact and inspire others through their actions and spirit.

Twice a year, we will invite our community to nominate students and athletes who embody what it means to “lead like a maverick.” Finalists are celebrated on our platforms, receive a special Maverick Award, a gift bag, and the winner’s team or school receives a donation from MSA.

The Maverick Award is open for nominations for all K-12 students or athletes, regardless of what school or district they attend!
